Learning continues in our PreK-4 class. With our google classroom and our interactive weekly zoom chats, the students are learning each day. Students have set schedules and assessment that they work on each week in our class. One of the most important things a student learn in PreK is to socially interact with one another. With our zoom chat, we see that it helps the students interact and stay connected with each other.
Since distance learning began, I found the saying “it takes a village to raise a child” to be true. With the full support of each family, my staff, and my colleagues- these students will be ready for Kindergarten. They will be more self-sufficient, more confident, and be more open minded.
My teaching philosophy: With guidance, encouragement, love, and patience every child can learn. In PreK-4, we encourage play time, family time, and self-discovery time. We can give them all the tools, but without the “village” the child might not get all they need in this crucial time.
