Fifth Grade Reading & Social Studies

In Social Studies, St. Veronica Fabulous Fifth Graders continue, through Google Classroom, to explore other cultures in their trip around the world. In Reading, critical thinking discussions enrich the minds of the students as they make connections with the novel they are reading and the world today. Google classroom interactive assignments about the Sacraments and weekly interactive Saint Bingo games reinforce the knowledge of our faith, as wells as providing a fun opportunity learning about the Saints! All these important Google Classroom lessons contribute to knowing the Lord, serving the Lord and sharing His Good News with others! Through Google Meet, students have the opportunity to actively and effectively engage with their peers in discussions. They also have a chance to express their creativity through PowerPoint presentations and to share with their classmates. Interactive, creative and fun hands on activities continue through our virtual classroom. Through Google Meet, the Fabulous Fifth Graders remain a strong team. In Fifth Grade, parents and teachers have the wonderful opportunity to connect through Google Meet. I am truly blessed to be a part of this amazing team at St. Veronica School. Our wonderful administration, dedicated teachers and staff, and supportive, dedicated and generous parents make distance education a success!
